Naomi Schiff announced that the Dutch Grand Prix would be her final Formula 1 race with Sky Sports this year. The pregnant presenter shared an emotional message about stepping away from broadcasting duties before welcoming her first child.

Naomi Schiff’s Heartfelt Farewell at Zandvoort

Naomi Schiff revealed on Instagram that the Dutch Grand Prix marks her last appearance as a Sky Sports F1 presenter in 2025. The 31-year-old explained her decision whilst gesturing to her visible baby bump during weekend coverage.

She told followers that “the bun is baking and the bun is almost ready to come out of the oven”. She expressed excitement about enjoying her final race weekend “more than usual”.

The Belgian-Rwandan presenter encouraged viewers to “join me on Sky Sports” for her farewell coverage. Her announcement came during live Instagram stories from the Zandvoort paddock.

Naomi Schiff has continued working throughout her pregnancy, appearing at recent races including Hungary and Belgium. She received widespread support from F1 community members following her pregnancy announcement in May.

    Pregnancy Journey and Family Life

Naomi Schiff announced her pregnancy in May 2025 with husband Alexandre Dedieu through a touching social media post. The couple shared a video with the caption “Been keeping the tiniest little secret”.

They married in a lavish ceremony in September 2024 after several years together. Naomi Schiff and Dedieu added in a separate post that they were “half way to meeting you, our littlest love”.

The announcement received warm congratulations from F1 personalities including Jenson Button and Natalie Pinkham. Former world champion Button simply wrote “Congratulations guys” whilst Pinkham called it “the BEST news”.

She recently received police escorts after the Hungarian Grand Prix due to her pregnancy. She joked about needing their contact details “for when it’s time to go to labour and delivery”.

Successful Broadcasting Career at Sky Sports

Naomi Schiff joined Sky Sports F1 as a presenter in 2022 after starting with their F1 Show the previous year. She quickly became a regular fixture in race weekend coverage alongside Martin Brundle and David Croft.

Her broadcasting work extends beyond Sky Sports to include co-presenting duties for French broadcaster Canal+. Naomi Schiff has covered numerous Grand Prix weekends across both networks.

The presenter gained recognition for her insightful analysis and engaging interview style. Lewis Hamilton publicly defended her credentials in 2022, calling her “totally qualified” as an ex-professional racing driver.

Naomi Schiff has covered major F1 events including the British Grand Prix, Miami Grand Prix, and Spanish Grand Prix multiple times. Her expertise as a former racer provides valuable perspective for viewers.

    Racing Driver Background and Achievements

Naomi Schiff began her motorsport career in 2010 competing in the South African Formula Volkswagen Championship. She finished 17th in her debut season before progressing through various racing series.

Her career highlight came in 2014 when she won the Clio Cup China Series championship. She secured seven wins from ten races to claim the title with 318 points.

She competed in prestigious endurance events including the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2018. Naomi Schiff finished second in class at the legendary German circuit.

The W Series provided her final competitive racing opportunity in 2019. She scored two points competing for Hitech GP before transitioning fully to broadcasting.

    F1 Community Support and Recognition

Naomi Schiff serves as a diversity and inclusion ambassador within motorsport. Her appointment to this role in 2020 highlighted her commitment to increasing representation.

Fellow Sky Sports presenter Martin Brundle praised her contributions during their colleague interview segment. The veteran commentator clearly values her presence within the broadcasting team.

Naomi Schiff has interviewed numerous F1 drivers and team principals throughout her broadcasting career. Her multilingual abilities enable coverage for both English and French-speaking audiences.

She maintains ambassadorial relationships with major brands including Marks and Spencer. Naomi Schiff’s fashion sense and professional image attract commercial partnerships.

    Analysis of McLaren Championship Battle

Naomi Schiff provided expert analysis of the 2025 championship fight between McLaren teammates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. She predicted that “mind games will undoubtedly factor in” between the title contenders.

The presenter highlighted how constant comparisons between teammates can be “quite challenging”. Naomi Schiff suggested that Mark Webber would provide valuable guidance to Piastri given his experience.

Her insights demonstrated deep understanding of Formula 1 psychology and team dynamics. The analysis showcased why Sky Sports values her contributions beyond just presenting duties.

Naomi Schiff emphasised how McLaren’s superior car performance intensifies pressure between both drivers. She noted that “comparison is the thief of joy” when discussing teammate relationships.

    Media Presence and Social Following

Naomi Schiff maintains an active social media presence with 341,000 Instagram followers. She regularly shares behind-the-scenes content from F1 paddocks and personal life updates.

Her engaging personality translates well across different media platforms. Naomi Schiff participated in entertaining content including “Which F1 driver smells the best?” with Martin Brundle.

YouTube appearances showcase her natural presenting abilities and motorsport knowledge. These informal segments help build stronger connections with F1 audiences.

Naomi Schiff effectively balances professional broadcasting duties with authentic personal sharing. Her pregnancy updates demonstrated this approach whilst maintaining viewer engagement.

    Future Broadcasting Plans

Naomi Schiff has not announced specific return dates for Sky Sports coverage following her maternity leave. The broadcaster will likely determine her schedule based on personal circumstances and childcare arrangements.

Her dual nationality and language skills provide flexibility for future broadcasting opportunities. Naomi Schiff could potentially increase her Canal+ involvement when ready to return.

Sky Sports will need to adjust their presenter rotation during her absence. The network regularly manages such situations with their pool of F1 broadcasting talent.

Naomi Schiff’s eventual return will depend on balancing new motherhood with professional commitments. Her established reputation ensures continued opportunities within F1 broadcasting.
